Resurrection Furniture Annual General Meeting

Chairman John Hubbard will present the Annual Report. He will report on an excellent year in the High Street Shop selling furniture and home goods. In particular grants were awarded totalling nearly £50,000 to a wide range of local charities and good causes.
In 2024 we also reached the milestone of giving grants totalling more than £100,000 since the shop opened in 2017. This is due to the generosity of donors of furniture and household items and to the 50 volunteers who give of their time and expertise in the shop, in the workshop and running our furniture van.
In the climate crisis it is vital that all communities do what they can to reduce, reuse and recycle; here in Alton and the surrounding villages we can be proud of what we are doing to recycle items to be reused. At the same time through the efforts of our volunteers we are able to financially support many local groups and charities year in, year out.
The AGM will include a guest presentation by Christians Against Poverty (CAP) on the
development of their debt relief service, supported by a grant of £11,000 over two years from Resurrection Furniture.
